St. Louis

Rams

Injuries, offense, wide receivers, what more could go wrong? Knock on wood. Story-edit

Rams are facing tough times.
Tough times on all sides, starting with the IR, a few days ago I talked about the loss of WR Donnie Avery and the impact of that on the St. Louis team, but now having added two more players to that list after last weeks loss to the Raiders, O.J Atogwe suffered a high thigh bruise, and needer wideout Laurent Robinson was out for wednesday practice. Reason to worry?
Also the Rams offense has not been producing the way we would like, Steven Jackson has had more than enough carries to have at least one single game with over a hundred yards on the ground. Only scoring 30 points in 2 games is an alright average, but against the Cardinals and Raiders, Bradford and the offensive roster should be up in the twenties every game. Whats Going on?
Every Rams fan on earth know the Wide Receiver situation that the Rams are undergoing at the moment. After Donnie Avery St. Louis basically has Mark Clayton and now that he is just about the only option, all of the opponents will now double cover him giving Sam Bradford no key player to give the ball off to.
Some say that the Rams are in search for a new receiver tell me who you think is right for the job.
Redskins up next!!! Take care of them Rammies!!!

Spread??? Story-edit

Has anyone seen the spread for the Redskins V Rams game, its ridiculous. +4 Are you kidding me, the Rams are 0-10 in there last 10 games dating back to early last year, with the loss of Donnie Avery and no secondary wideout besides Clayton and the Redskins veteran offense, im sure all of you have heard of Clinton Portis, Donavan McNabb, and Santana Moss, well Rams defense, basically no chance.
Spread a little uneven?

O loss

We miss ya man Story-edit

With the first pick in 2010 NFL the Rams select Sam Bradford, yes! Connection Bradford-Donnie Avery all day right? No not really, he just had to get hurt in the preseason. Now he is out for the season. The Bradford pass is almost not an option anymore, all they got left is Steven Jackson, and you physically cant beat anyone if you loss to the Raiders and Cardinals without Bradford or Jackson with a solid game.
However the D has been sufficient, but not good enough. Steve Spagnuolo now has his work cut out for him at home this week against the Redskins who are looking great in that division with the Cowboys and Eagles
Bradford solid game, Jackson over 100 yards please, maybe a couple picks from the D core, then an upset maybe. Now tell me if the Rams staff is any better with Donnie Avery gone, even with Sam Bradford taking the place of Bulger. I just want to go back to those days with Issac Bruce and Torry Holt as two great options, but that is life, no more decent wideouts. The hopes are going down, just like ticket prices, get back in there boys, put a fight the NLF nation will remember.
Go Rams!!! Solid performance now offense try and get 20 plus points.

Ridiculous But Expected

The Rams start off 0-2 which most people would view as "I told you so" but if you look at this years lineup and those of the two teams we have faced in the first two weeks, the Rams should be 2-0, but have shown that they cannot keep up with Derek Anderson of the Cardinals, who have lost Anquan Boldin, and with Larry Fitzgerald at about 50 percent, they also lost to the Falcon 41-7 embarrassing.

The Cardinals first and the Raiders second, with this easy schedule, the Rams should be in first, instead of last. St. Louis has been close, but not close enough as there loss to the Raiders takes the season hopes another step in the wrong direction.

This week Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson look to lead a powerhouse offense against the 2-0 Redskins looking for there first 2010 victory. Bradford looks to come positive in his rookie season for touchdowns-Int ratio. With only 3 touchdowns this year Bradford is due for a good game, likewise is Running Back Steven Jackson.

Go Rams!!! PULL ONE OUT

Two years, in 4 weeks.

In Marc Bulger's return to St. Louis the Rams show him and the Ravens who this years contender is going to be in there 27-21 win.

Going into the Regular Season on a three game winning streak can only mean good things.

Sam Bradford only got to throw six passes, but he completed 100 percent of those passes for 68 yards and ended that series with a very professional TD pass into the corner of the end-zone. After last week's solid start by Bradford and this weeks perfection Steve Spagnuolo will most likely give Bradford the start on the 12th for the Rams 2010 season opener against the Cardinals.

Although the Ravens sat all of starters and Marc Bulger, the Rams still picked up there 27-21 victory. "I know they didn't play a lot of their guys, I do understand that," Spagnuolo said. "We'll take some good out of it."

Good news for the Rams, after Kicker Josh Brown's 54 yard field goal in St. Louis Thursday he is now 8 for 8 going into Arizona to start the season.

Rams back-ups also looked good Thursday, but whats up with the no show by Jackson again. Oh well dont give him any time, he doesnt need it, he is Steven Jackson.

The Rams will be ready to face the Cardinals on the 12th, and the Cardinals still have no true starter so they are not looking good to enter the season. It would mean a lot to get a win in the first game, maybe playoffs eventually, but I wont get too far ahead of myself.

Tonight is the most anticipated Rams game of the Preseason.

Rams Fans may we welcome back the presence of Marc Bulger. Yes Marc Bulger ex. Ram now a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Now everyone be nice when we send him and his team back home with a loss.

2010 Trends (Pre Season)

The Ravens are 3-0 ATS.
The Ravens are 1-0 ATS away.
The Ravens are 1-0 ATS as the underdog.
The Ravens are 1-0 ATS as an away underdog.
The Rams are 2-1 ATS.
The Rams are 0-1 ATS at home.
The Rams are 2-0 ATS as the underdog.
The Rams have not been a home underdog.

Line: 3.0 to the Rams???
Wait what? the Rams are the Favorites to beat the undefeated Ravens. No that does not happen.
After losing wide receiver Donnie Avery for the entire season, the Rams pretty much have just about no chance to fulfill this Vegas prophecy.
Go Rams!! End the games that no one cares about. Go get em next week.

This just in, Rams top Wide out Donnie Avery declared out for season with a torn acl.

Big boy Sam Bradford saw his game in the starting position on Thursday filling in the previously injured Rams quarterback, A.J. Feeley. The St. Louis rookie was rocketing passes through, over, and past the strong willed Patriots defense. After completing his first six passes to his new teams receivers, he finished 15 for 22 with 189 yards in one half's work. "It was a blast out there tonight," he said. "I had fun. I was used to doing what I was doing -- moving the offense up and down the field."

Although this years number 1 pick in the NFL only played in the first half, he threw for two touchdowns without a single pick. In the second half he watched his team beat one of the best teams in football 36-35. His performance in thursdays game might have placed him as starter against the Cardinals in the Rams season opener on the 12th.

If you look at the scoreboard it has little to say about how this game actually should have turned out. St. Louis blew out the Pats in almost every category including total yards, third down conversions, time of possession, first downs and many more. It almost seemed like Bradford was a veteran out there, I think that everyone will be surprised with Spagnuolo's squad this year. Now St. Louis can compete with the best, as we saw on the field Thursday.

Hero: Third String Quarterback Keith Null: He led the game winning winning drive down to New England's 19 yard line setting up the game winner for the rams, Brown with his third field goal of the day gave St. Louis more wins in there first three games than last years entire season combine.

The Loss: Even though the Rams prevailed Thursday evening now St. Louis is not 100 percent to start the regular season. The Rams leading receiver Donnie Avery after laying out for an incomplete pass and awkwardly landed on his elbow he "probably injured his elbow" said Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo.

After the one point victory in Foxboro Thursday the Rams will suit up to face the explosive offense of Joe Flacco and Ray Rice on the 2nd of September. So far I have been very impressed with the way Spagnuolo has dealt with the previously in need Rams team. Hopefully Bradford can lead the way into a winning and somewhat successful season, if they play with the same intensity and want to, the will do just that.

The Rams have done some offseason work and they look to rebound from last years one win season. Last week in Cleveland they came away with a 19-17 victory, hopefully that is not there only win they will come by in the 2010-11 season. In next weeks game against the Pats, Steve Spanoula named Sam Bradford the starter after A.J. Feeley's injury in last weeks preseason week win against the Browns.
